Mulieh village, located about 30 kilometres from Jowai is popularly known for its production of Lakadong turmeric, an important turmeric species endemic to the Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya. With its curcumin content exceeding seven of these types of turmeric, it provides you with many health benefits. This location also grows organic ginger, which also has health benefits such as lowering the risk of heart disease, strengthening the immune system, assisting with osteoarthritis, chronic indigestion, and lowering cholesterol levels. En route to Mulieh village, one can witness various spectacular views of the nearby landscapes. One can also learn the tradition and the process of production of Lakadong turmeric and Ginger with a hands-on experience in the cultivation process.

She is also an entrepreneur from Mulieh village, West Jaintia Hills District and a school teacher by profession. She has extensive knowledge about Lakadong Turmeric and has also helped inform nearby villages and communities about the various turmeric cultivation schemes.
