A tranquil Songsarek village in West Garo Hills

Sadolpara is a tranquil village located in the West Garo Hills district, approximately 315 km from Shillong. It is a Songsarek village, where the local population adheres to animist beliefs, honoring the presence of spirits in natural elements. While many Garos have converted to Christianity, the indigenous people of Sadolpara continue to practice their traditional Songsarek beliefs and customs.
